Another absolute classic from the Fender archives. The Fender 72 Telecaster Custom features a neck humbucker, giving this guitar a bit more welly than a regular Tele. The classic Black on Black finish is our favourite - it's got rock running through its veins.
1972 was a magical year for the Telecaster guitar, which was then available in several new designs and with more options than ever before. The 72 Telecaster Custom features many of those options, including an alder or ash body (depending on finish), a C-shaped maple neck, bullet truss rod, 70s vintage hardtail strings-through Strat bridge, three-bolt neckplate, a Wide Range humbucking pickup at the neck and a traditional single-coil pickup at the bridge.
WIDE RANGE HUMBUCKING PICKUP
The Modern Wide Range humbucking pickups on this guitar expertly evoke the look of the famous Fender pickup design of the early 1970s, as used on original-era Telecaster Thinline, Telecaster Custom and Telecaster Deluxe models.
THREE-SADDLE AMERICAN VINTAGE TELECASTER BRIDGE
With authentic design and performance that evokes the Telecasters of the 1950s, ’60s and ’70s, this model features an American Vintage telecaster bridge with three saddles.
’70S-STYLE "F" TUNERS
This specialized ’72 Telecaster model features the nicely authentic touch of sealed tuners stamped with the stylized capital "F" from the classic Fender script logo.
